Grade 6
Mrs. Trunzo

Summer 2010
In Psalm 17:8 we pray to the Lord, “Keep me as the apple of your eye and hide me in the shadow of your wing.”
The “apple of your eye” is an expression that poetically describes the person or thing that one cares for the most. Summer is an appropriate time to reflect on this aspect of God’s relationship with us. Perhaps during the days of vacation from our SAS routine, we may be less conscious of God’s presence and caring. Yet these may be the days when we have an even greater need of it. As we plan for September, our new theme of A.P.P.L.E., Always Providing Prayer, Love, and Education, will remind us of how special we are to God, the apples of His eye, and how much our school shares in His work.
