Aftercare at St. Anthony's School - 2009-2010
The Aftercare program is intended to assist working parents, and in an emergency situation. The telephone number for parents to call in the event of an emergency is (973) 838-0854 Extension 7. This line will be available from 2:30 to 5:30.
After dismissal, student assemble in the Parish Center and get settled in and checked in by the teachers in charge. This will follow the dismissal procedure that you indicted. If there is any change in that procedure, a note from a parent is advisable. Regular dismissal is at 2:30PM.
If your child is attending a club or program, aftercare hours will be counted after the club is over. It is a good idea to have a snack for the child since there will be time for a snack break. The primary purpose for the child is to work on homework that has been assigned, and to have a safe and supervised area for homework, play, etc.
There is no aftercare when the school is on half-day sessions, or when there is an early dismissal.
An Aftercare pre-paid card must be purchased in advance if you would like your child(ren) to attend aftercare. Cards are available in denominations running from $20.00 to $200.00. Cards may be purchased from our school office. Charges will be deducted from the card only when your child actually attends.
The price of aftercare is $4.00 per hour, for a maximum of $8.00 per hour for a family.
