Basketball and Cheerleading Program
The Upper Passaic County League offers moderately competitive teams from nearby parishes. Boys and Girls’ programs are offered for ages 9-10 (5th and 6th Grade Junior Varsity), and 11-12 (7th and 8th Grade Varsity).
Basketball and Cheer Registration will begin in September. Basketball evaluations and team selections are held in early October. All Basketball players who register prior to the first tryout will be assigned to a team, as long as there are a sufficient number of players and Coaches. An enrollment of 10 players, with a maximum of 15 players, will comprise a team.
The Cheerleading Program will accept all those who register at both Junior Varsity and Varsity levels.
Practices begin in October. Games start in December and end in March.
St. Anthony’s CYO Basketball and Cheerleading Program is dependent upon volunteers. If you have experience playing or coaching basketball or cheerleading, and are interested in coaching a CYO team, please indicate your desire at the time of registration.
