Spanish

Dr. Ruiz is the Spanish teacher for all our classes in St. Anthony's School.

In this 2009-1010 school year, grades two through eight will begin the year with Spanish class. 

 Dr. Ruiz teaches with a variety of materials with a focus on vocabulary and he utilizes a bulletin board on the second floor.  He introduces the youngest students to vocabulary and activities which give them some useful language skills, and by the time they reach the upper grades the students are reading and listening to Spanish literature. 

At the end of the year, the first grade will be introduced to the Spanish Program for the last few weeks of the school year.  This will help prepare them for next year. 

The students of St. Anthony's will be exposed to the Spanish language and culture which will serve them well in high school.
